RUGBY TRAINING FOR ALL ATHLETES OF ALL AGES
The goal of The Rugby Factory at D1 is to develop athletes of all ages and build the necessary skills and fundamentals to compete in the sport of rugby. Our mission is to instill the principles of rugby within each individual by focusing on performance, work ethic, and attention to detail while placing an almost equal emphasis on these same skills and traits in all aspects of life.
The Factory will provide individualized attention to our athletes in order to develop their skills and technique to produce results through the most advanced and traditional methods. Primary focus will be placed on position specific training and fundamentals as well as fitness, speed, and power development. This individualized approach is specified to the needs of each of our athletes, ensuring the maximal growth in each training session.
Rugby Factory 1-ON-1 TRAINING, SEMI-PRIVATE TRAINING (1-4), AND GROUP/TEAM TRAINING(5+)
Athletes in The Rugby Factory will develop skills year-round to be a complete rugby player that can perform all that is necessary on the field. Our individualized approach is based on proven methods developed through International, Professional, and Division 1 Collegiate experience and knowledge.
MLR/COLLEGIATE OFF-SEASON TRAINING
Our goal is to provide the most comprehensive off-season training program available to keep our athletes in the best physical and mental condition while fine tuning skill develop to be able to return to their professional or collegiate teams at the top of their game.
As professional rugby continues its development in North America the importance of combines, regional scouting and try outs are becoming more and more necessary. Athletes will be tested at the start of our program to establish a baseline for future comparison. We will then test again before departure to demonstrate improvements and preparation for Combine/Pro-Day success.
Youth camps will be held routinely throughout the year and focused on introduction to the basics of Rugby and the skills needed to play it.
Director of Rugby Operations - John Cullen
John played four years of high school for the Fullerton Youth Rugby Lions u16 and the Hacienda Heights Phantoms u19 was also selected the to SoCal Griffins u18 team. John went to on to play college football at the University of Utah.
At the completion of his collegiate football career, he made the transition to rugby with his last year of collegiate eligibility and was selected as a First Team Collegiate All American. After college John then had to opportunity to represent a multitude of clubs and teams and hoist numerous champions over the last decade. Most notably Seattle Saracens, Serevi Selects 7s, U.S. Army Sevens, Utah Select 7s, Utah Warriors and multiple selections into the U.S. National Rugby team.
