UNC QB Max Johnson, A Former D1 Training Athlete, Bounces Back From Devastating Injury | D1 Daily

A few years ago, Max Johnson worked out at D1 Athens, looking to stay in shape during his offseason as quarterback at Texas A&M.
Hitting the weights and the turf with his brother Jake, Max was focused on achieving his NFL aspirations.

After transferring to the University of North Carolina, Johnson seemed destined to finally accomplish those dreams.
But in the Tar Heels' 2024 season opener against Minnesota, Johnson broke his leg, effectively ending his season before it even began.
Months of painful rehab ensued.
Then, Johnson found himself playing during North Carolina's 2025 season opener against TCU.
His resilience and determination embody what it means to be a D1 Training athlete.
It's the mindset to keep pushing, no matter the circumstance, and to come back stronger than ever before.
