'Building A Stronger Future By Developing Stronger People' - D1 Coach Summit Featured In Athletech

D1 Daily is a curated list of anecdotes and links with an eye towards training. The suggestion box is open.
Following a successful 2025 Coach Summit last month in New Orleans, D1 Training found itself featured in Athletech for hosting the event.
The article included a quote from D1 CEO Will Bartholomew discussing the importance of Coach Summit, which is held in conjunction with the Manning Passing Academy in Thibodaux, La.
“For us, performance starts with people,” Will Bartholomew said. “We know that if we help our franchisees invest in their coaches, we help drive stronger performance and our athletes thrive. That’s what the D1 Coach Summit is all about.”
For former IU strength coach Clif Marshall, who was a guest speaker on Day 2 of the event, which was held at the New Orleans Saints practice facility, the opportunity was a great time to network and learn more about training.
"The D1 Coach Summit had a great impact on me because I got to meet a legend in our profession – Kurt Hester,” Marshall said. “I love how he coaches with an eternal mindset.”

D1 COO Dan Murphy was also featured in the article, talking about how Coach Summit helped build camaraderie among the different locations.
“Supporting franchisee success doesn’t stop at business systems or marketing; true support means helping invest in their teams,” Murphy said. “That’s what this event is about – building a stronger future by developing stronger people.”
