Now, Boss has caught the attention of Billings' news station Q2 for her most important marathon yet.
Next month, Boss will suit up for the New York City Marathon on Nov. 2 in honor of her sister-in-law Lauren Boss, who died from cardiac arrest at 21.
To earn a spot in the race, Boss partnered with Who We Play For, an organization focused on preventing sudden cardiac deaths in young athletes and individuals. Boss has surpassed $5,000 fundraising goal by almost $1,500.
Boss told Q2 her goal is to “get kids and any athlete any person an EKG so that they can figure out if they have a pre-existing condition or something that can be prevented.”
