D1 Northern Kentucky Athlete Taylen Kinney Commits To Kansas Basketball | D1 Daily

On August 22, D1 Northern Kentucky asked a question on Instagram:
“Where should TK Go NEXT?? Maybe go D1 at D1”
“TK” is a reference to D1 Northern Kentucky athlete Taylen Kinney, who is one of the top point guards in the Class of 2026. His recruitment has been closely monitored by those in the college basketball world.
On Sunday, Kinney finally announced his decision. He's going to be a Kansas Jayhawk.
Kinney has trained with D1 Northern Kentucky owner Charles Johnson for years.
In July, Johnson posted a message to Kinney on Instagram.
"TK is an athlete and a bright star in high school basketball.
From the court to the community, his growth has been nothing short of inspiring.
We’ve been training with Taylen for a while now, and to witness his journey — from a young hooper to the leader he’s becoming — is a blessing.
His scoring, his vision, his confidence, and most importantly, his impact off the court… all continue to grow.
Taylan’s just getting started, and the ceiling? There isn’t one.
Keep going, TK — the game needs athletes like you.
We’re proud to be part of your story."
We are proud that D1 played a role in helping Kinney reach his goal.
