Fitness influencer and content creator Sydney Pritchard Benson has built a loyal following by sharing her authentic journey—especially her postpartum fitness story.

Known for her honesty, energy, and relatability, Sydney recently gave her audience a behind-the-scenes look at her very first workout with D1 Training, at the D1 Jollyville location.

Through a series of five short videos as part of a paid partnership with D1, she captured everything from the nerves of walking in to the empowerment she felt walking out—and it’s a transformation many moms (and athletes of all kinds) will recognize.

The Nerves Before Class

On her way to her first class, she admitted:

“I’m excited, but I’m very nervous… postpartum I’m always just a little nervous going into gym atmospheres because I’m not in the shape I used to be.”

That honesty sets the stage for what makes D1 different: you don’t have to show up at your peak. You just have to show up.

She also highlighted one major perk of D1: the convenience.

“One thing I really appreciate about D1 is how many locations they have. There’s one right next to my house… and even one next to where we’re moving.”

With over 150 locations, there's usually a D1 right around the corner. In Pritchard Benson's case, there was one right next to her house, and even one next to where she was moving.

Inside The Workout

Her third video showed the workout in action—functional movements, strength work, and a team atmosphere. Even after years away from using a rack, she jumped right in with the support of her coaches and classmates.

The Afterglow: Support & Community

Post-class, her nerves were replaced with joy:

“That was so much fun. Everyone was so nice, so welcoming… even the people I was working out with cheered me on. Great environment, great energy. I’m excited to come back.”

The “bomb playlist” didn’t hurt either.

Feeling Like An Athlete Again

By the end, the experience was more than just a workout. It was transformative:

“I really liked that everyone was at a different fitness level, and you could go at your own speed. It was very empowering… I haven’t felt like an athlete in a while, and it was nice to feel like my old self again.”

Why This Matters

Her videos capture the true essence of D1 Training: it’s not just about exercise, it’s about confidence, community, and rediscovering what you’re capable of. For anyone wondering if they can keep up—especially postpartum—the answer is yes. At D1, there’s something for everyone, and the results speak for themselves.
