March MATNESS at D1 Lakeland
Experience the ultimate wrestling-inspired gauntlet! March MATNESS is more than just a workoutâitâs a tribute to the "grind" of a championship week. We are pushing your limits to simulate the mental and physical toll of a three-day tournament.
The Event Lineup
1. The "Three-Day Grind" AMRAPs
Experience the physical evolution of a championship run. Weâre hosting three 15-minute AMRAPs (As Many Rounds As Possible) specifically programmed to mirror the unique exhaustion of:
Day 1: The explosive energy of the opening rounds.
Day 2: The grit required to push through the semifinals.
Day 3: The "all-out" lungs and legs needed for the finals.
Integrated into every round: Functional movements that simulate the discipline of three consecutive days of making weight.
2. NCAA Championship Viewing
After youâve survived the grind, recover while watching the pros do it. Weâll be streaming the NCAA Wrestling Championships live. Grab a seat and witness the pinnacle of the sport with a crew that knows exactly what those athletes are feeling.
3. Open Challenge Matches
Put your conditioning to the test! Our Open Challenge Match competition is open to all ages. Whether you're a youth phenom or a veteran of the mat, step up for a friendly, competitive bout to close out the event.
Why Attend?
Authentic Intensity: A workout that respects the "weight-cutting" mindset and the stamina required for a 3-day bracket.
Pro-Level Atmosphere: Feel the energy of the national championships while surrounded by the Lakeland wrestling community.
Open to All: Designed for all ages and skill levels who want to test their "mat lungs."
"Three days of weight. Three days of war. One morning to prove youâve got the grit."
