This summer, ditch the screens and level up your child’s athletic potential! At D1 Training Henderson, we’re running 4 weeks of high-performance summer camps, each tailored to develop speed, strength, coordination, and sport-specific skills for athletes of all ages and levels.
Whether your child is new to training or preparing for tryouts, this is the summer to get ahead. Our expert coaches deliver age-appropriate training that builds real strength and athletic skill—without the burnout.
đâď¸ Week 1: Speed & Agility (Perfect for ALL Kids)
Who It’s For:Â All sports—or no sports at all
Speed and agility are the foundation of every sport and an incredible way to boost coordination, quickness, and body awareness. Even if your child doesn’t currently play a sport, this camp will help them build confidence and move better in everyday life.
âď¸ Faster reaction times
âď¸ Improved balance and coordination
âď¸ Injury prevention through proper mechanics
đ Research shows that speed and agility training improves neuromuscular control, enhances power output, and reduces injury risk across multiple sports (Faigenbaum et al., 2009; Behm et al., 2017).
Whether your child plays basketball, soccer, or just needs to get off the couch, this is the ideal foundation.
â˝ Week 2:Â Soccer Performance Camp
Who It’s For:Â Soccer athletes or those curious about the sport
This camp blends soccer-specific skills with strength and conditioning designed to improve footwork, control, and endurance. Athletes will improve their first step speed, lateral movement, and coordination—while also learning how strength training supports power and injury resistance.
 Week 3: Football Performance Camp
Who It’s For:Â Flag or tackle football players looking to dominate in the fall
This week is for athletes who want to hit harder, run faster, and show up at tryouts ready to perform. We’ll focus on explosive power, acceleration, and position-specific footwork to help athletes excel on the field. Expect a focus on speed, agility, and safe strength development that prepares athletes for contact.
Week 4: Strength & Conditioning Camp
Who It’s For:Â All athletes looking to improve power, control, and durability
Every athlete—every body—needs strength training. It's now well established that proper strength training does NOT stunt growth and is not just safe, but essential for young athletes.
The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) states that youth resistance training can improve strength, motor skills, and athletic performance, while reducing injury risk and enhancing long-term health (NSCA Position Statement, 2009).
Proper technique with light to moderate loads—even as low as a school backpack—can lead to major benefits in motor control and strength development in youth (Myer et al., 2013).
For those new to strength training, we’ll use bodyweight, resistance bands, and light dumbbells to teach proper movement patterns. For experienced athletes, we’ll scale up appropriately. Every child will be challenged—safely.
 Also Available: Homeschool Athlete Workouts
For students who’ve never played a sport, we also offer homeschool athlete sessions that teach foundational movement, build strength, and improve confidence. Every child is an athlete when trained the right way.
 Why Train in the Off-Season?
Waiting until tryouts to start training is too late. Summer is when real progress happens:
Build speed and explosiveness
Improve coordination and balance
Gain confidence through strength
